Are there any differences in terms of casting in hi performance to low performance 383?

not a whole lot of meat between the main saddles and the camshaft bore. not an issue i dont think until above 600 hp or more. then the block may crack there from the stress involved. 400 blocks have more meat there;especially those cast in 1971.
