I see your 70 Sat/RR picture I'm not sure the part number, but the 6-pack dampener will be about 1" thick like all the forged crank motors AND it will have a small offset horseshoe weight in the middle. And yes, you DO need a special torque converter like a 360....but a better way is to buy a weighted flex plate & use a regular neutral balanced torque converter.
Also.... I would highly recommend building a neutral balance motor without these balancer/torque converter weights unless you have a numbers matching 70 six pack car or are trying to do a really good clone of one. External balancing is a major PIA if you have to replace any parts.
