440 in a bug convertible!!

I notice it's been updated to the 1500 or 1600 single port starter motor. The original 36 HP wouldn't quite cut it. :rolling::rolling::rolling:

Back in my teens in Dallas, a guy had a bug with a SBC in it, but in the back, he hooked up a Suzy Homemaker sewing machine. I loved the looks he would get at service stations when he'd have them check the oil

Nice, Never saw a 440 in one. A guy at the track here has a 454 in his. I always thought a bug would be a great sleeper pull up next to some kids at a red light, wait for them to rev their engine and then the reaction on their face when you would rev that badass it would be priceless!
