Nope, von Braun and his staff surrendered to the Americans, not Russians, and were cleared of all war crimes.

Unfortunately education has taken a back seat to most everything else.

Both the US and Russians had German scientists.. I was wrong about the one landing..... and the hoax it was real landing.

Maybe some of you old Air Force or Navy vets will remember the Apollo Mobile Quarantine Module. They would put the astronauts in this modified Airstream trailer on the recovery ship because they were scared of "Moon germs". Then they would bring the module into Pearl Harbor to unload it from the ship. We would pick it up at Pearl on a K loader, Drive it over to Hickam AFB, and load it onto a C-141 to fly it back to Travis AFB California. After four moon missions they decided that the moon wasn't so germy after all and stopped using the modules. I think that a couple of the modules are in museums somewhere.

My memory of the event is now fading, but Mrs Gorsky made good on her promise the very next day .
