What do you think caused the crack? I have a Alterkation in my 65 Belvedere (yet to be driven). I also have a 540 Indy aluminum engine but, I am sure the car will be lighter than yours. Maybe less stress? Did you talk to Bill about the problem?

My kid is a welder, so he beefed it up. Should be good now.
