6.4 performance

Has anyone here used a stock 6.4 from a car and put an intake manifold and carb on it with headers? What kind of power did it make on the dyno or track results? Looking to put my 66 Satelitte into the mid 11's. Still gathering parts. Thanks

RussellDrake sound german is doing 11's with a factory 6.4 so a carby should manage the same if set up properly.
Body weight & gearing would be a big factor i am running a 3.23 suregrip
& it is a bit lazy

a stock block & bottom end with a good cam , ported heads and intake with long tube headers will get you there . check out Black Bird Performance . Plenty of videos of what they are doing over there with stock bottom end 6.4's .

This is my 65 Satellite with a carbed 6.1 based 426 stroker mild cam 10.9 cp
727 4k convertor 3.91 gear with a 30 tall tire
60 ft was garbage and i couldn’t get it up against the converter

Any time you get on a forum to ask “has anyone ever,” the answer is always going to be yes. Blackbird not only builds 6.4L engines with carburetors, but actually recommends it. EFI is fine but for a lot of applications, the carb makes good sense.
