They were likely still servicing DeSoto's (only dead a year). Up here in Canada, it was split up Chrysler/Plymouth, and Dodge/DeSoto. My Dad's cousin ran a Dodge/DeSoto store up here in Tillsonburg, Ontario. After Desoto was cancelled, the Dodge business was given to the Chrysler/Plymouth store across town. Without Mopars to sell, the dealership became a Studebaker/Mercedes-Benz store. When Studebaker ceased operations in 1966, the dealership started selling AMC. The family joke was, how did he miss out on Edsel??Halibrand MAGNESIUM mags? Indy car wheels, with a bolt pattern added?
(They sure weren't selling DeSoto's in 1962.)
They were hitting 11.90s shortly after they came out in the summer of 62. With the 413 no lessNote the ET in the second photo. View attachment 1986906View attachment 1986907
