I've been think I might like to install power brakes on my 62 Fury. When I bought the car it had an after market PB system small cheap did not work. So I converted to manual brakes. Have any of you guys used a stock newer year brake booster from like a 68-78 etc ??? or something that has worked for you. I would like to stay away from those cheap summit racing brake booster. I do have front disc brakes. Something that would bolt on to my 62 without any modifications. Also I want avoid the extra under hood bracketing that some of the after market kits us ( just want to bolt booster directly to firewall) Any ideas ??

I had a number of issues converting my ’63 to power & disks, part of that was an incorrect kit from SSBC. I don’t know if your car has a bell-crank arrangement, but a couple things to keep in mind is the MC being compatible with a power vs manual brake setup, the pedal ratio, again there’s a difference, as I recall moving the rod connections from the top to lower hole in the pedal arm, and a booster of sufficient size for the system. In my case, ended up staying with the manual pedal ratio after all the futzing making a new adjustable rod.

Like I said just something I'm thinking about. Might not be worth the problems. Thanks
