Thanks for all the kind replies about my car. The 62 Vert next to me is my very good friends car. I really dont have any good pics of it but I know there is a clip of it on Youtube as the same guy that did mine clip did one on his car. I will be seeing him in that car in the next few weeks when we start cruising and I will get some good pics of it and post them. It has a mild 440 with the crossram and dual Carter AFB's on it. Its a nice car but he dont race it as he has a red 62 Hardtop he races. Ron

I do have this pic of his red 62 which he drives on the street some and races it once in a while. Actually the black 62 Vert and this have Keystones on them not Cragers. Ron

Ron, I'd LOVE to see pics of your friends Black '62 500 convertible. His car isn't the one at the bottom of this page is it? - http://www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com/mmo42001.html

Here is mine on 1962to1965moparornocar back in 2001 (over 10 years before I bought it), and I saw it there in 2001 -

I had bought my car after seeing it advertised on collectorcartrader, and realised whilst it was on it's voyage to me, that it was the same car.
Turns out the owner of the car back in 2001 is actually a member here too.. :eusa_whistle:

This was a good idea as we dont want to hijack the other post as you said. Ron

Wow yours is sweet ! I like that inline 2 four intake on it. And thats the 385 hp 413 so that has to really scream. Thats not his at the bottom of that page but it looks just like his. He has always had the Keystones on it for the 18 years I have know him. I will look for the post of his on youtube and post it when I find it. Ron

Sweet car, thanks for posting it Ron!

I always loved the '62 Polara 500, and was kind of looking when my Dart convertible came up. It ticked all the boxes (as I really never considered a convertible) so I went for it.
The 300H motor goes OK, but over our winter the heads are coming off to drop CR, MW headers and 2.5" exhaust go on and I'll tune carbs properly. It should go better then.

I enquired about buying this car advertised privately a few years ago -

An absolutely museum worthy car restored to perfection (but not original afaik, from memory it was factory cream paint with 361), but was too much $$. It then was sold on Mecum like 12 months later for near double!!

The one in the video has black painted bumpers, keystone wheels and red accented seats. Also video was taken in Maryland.

Great looking rides! It's always fun, tracking the history on these cars.

62max, was that pic taken at Chrysler Carlisle?

Each year I go there looking for the 62 dodges and there might be only one or two there. Looking forward to getting mine there one year.
