Ive got a 1963 fury 2 door, passanger side door closes perfect, one click then 2 clicks thats closed,no moldings or anything else installed yet, drivers door is another story,go to close it,door is alighned, one click then 2 clicks then the door still pushes in another 3/4 of an inch after the second click, unlike the drivers door that stops where it should after the second click, any one have any ideas,we tried adjusting it and nothing works, bad latch, bad stricker?

You need to take the striker in a little more. The second click should hold the door tight. Use a pencil to mark where it is now so you can keep track of your adjustments.

ill try it again,we did try several times, after the second click you still can push the door in a ways,so what stops the door after the second click, does the star gear stop the door, does the back of the striker stop the door?

Is there any weather stripping installed yet? That will take up some space, But yes you should be able to just adjust the striker in more, You could try using the striker off the good door to see if that's the problem.

no weather stripping installed, the other door that works perfect has no weather stripping, thats why I ask what stops the door, the star gear or the rear of the striker

Just as glennb49 suggested. Door seal/weather stripping should be in place.
Adjusting the door latch, it should fit up against the seal with a slight resistance, on the final latch.
Understand your also wanting the door to latch flush with the body. Body section of the service manual helps a little. On my 64, I had to mess with one door a bunch, to finally get it to latch right.

      Ahh...plum forgot about those!

Those door stop rubbers should be it.
Know I got pretty dang frustrated on my one door. Dozen adjustments, checking what the book said, at one point the door refused to latch, after slamming it closed a few times.
Latching into the clicks, the door should rise about a 1/16", at the striker ramp.
My cure...lots of cussing, throwing something, a cold beer...another slight adjustment, and it fell right into place.

On my '65 Coronet, I have some trouble with the driver door opening. I had it apart, and looks like the handle mechanism is just worn. I have the original set from my '63, so I plan to swap them out this year, If time allows, to see if that fixes the issue...

      Here's what they look like...
      https://www.ebay.com/itm/1964-Plymo...-Kit-New-MoPar-/371974885450?oid=371023556687

If you buy a complete rubber kit for the car, should have them in it.
Pretty sure, like on the 64, 63 is the same. Look for cut slots on each door, upper and lower, near the rear edge. The bumpers go there.
Why is the passenger door work perfect? My bet...bumpers are on the door, and you don't realize it. Without being able to see it...can't say!!

Are the latch and catch the same on both doors? Can you rotate the door latch by hand and hear the clicks as it turns? Is the nylon slide in the top of the door latch?
