I have had an issue with my fuel and temp gauge not really working all that often (although they do once in a while). Recently I just bought a solid state relay from RTE (highly recommended from what I hear), and hope it will fix my problem.
Attached is a picture of the back of my instrument cluster board. Is there something I need to watch out for when putting this in? It's the exact same style as the OEM regulator.
The green wire I am assuming needs to stay where it is, and be connected where originally connected at the copper trace terminal close by. The white wire shown was connected where I have the red line, and the other end was stuffed into the same pin as the ground on the regulator. Is this wire/connection absolutely needed? There is a ground from the dash housing connected to the terminal where the red line goes as well.
I am no good with electrical stuff so if anyone could guide me a bit I would really appreciate it...especially if you have a similar panel with the RTE upgrade installed.
Thanks,
Jeff
