I made my grandson remove mine. It’s a lot easier that way.
It will be just one more tool in the collection of "I have used it once tools", but if you ever need it again you have it. I do have 4 and 12 lb sledge hammers that should do the job.......the best I can do for heating source would be my wife's hair dryer.
A guy without a propane torch??
Will this do:
Wasn't expecting that, oh ya.
Time to go to WalMart
Funny. Get MAPP gas for propane torch burns hotter than propane should heat up hub to help get off beat the crap out of it and be ready to mess your shorts whrn it comes loose. Apply anti seize for reinstall. You will thank me later
Was looking on amazon. Some real heat without oxy/acetylene. https://www.amazon.com/Handheld-Ign...9Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
That's brilliant, I love it!
I have these too:
One of the first things I did when I got my '63 Plymouth was swap out installing a '65 Coronet housing/axles while adding a sure-grip and new HD leafs while at it. The auto resto purists wouldn't be impressed though.
Broke my puller on my 63 ended up going to rerun Henry someone torched the drums off replaced the rear end with a 69 MAPP gas will definitely get you more heat I don't suppose it's drivable now that's the best way to get it off Lucinda nut and drive around the corner couple times who's Lucinda?
Could be a loose high school girl friend
You shouldn't need any heat. With the puller installed and you're hammering on it, if it seems like its getting really tight and nothing is happening, use your hammer on the end of the threaded shaft where the dog bone attaches. Normally a good hit or two will jar it loose. Like said before, leave the nut on the axle so when it does break loose things won't go flying. Have a good gap between the nut and hub.
Still waiting for the puller I ordered last Thursday......turns out this Ebay seller is in Vietnam, even though the location listed in his Ebay ad showed that it was Phoenix AZ, a mere 250 miles from me!... He is now giving me bullshit stories about "slow holiday shipping"! Doesn't look like I will be getting it anytime soon.
Mitch take his spares with him.. LOL
Is that the one that advertises free two day shipping...from Arizona...seller's name "huyn"
Ah.. no Gold, so you probably don't know whom Moparmitch is.. sorry. He lives in 'nam half the time.
