I had forgotten what a bitch it is to find a gas cap for these cars.
Tried temporarily using the one off my Coronet, but the fill neck opening isn't even the same size.

What can I gat for under $20, or is there a place to get a correct one that's not pushing $100?

I remember now that there's a curve to the cap as well as being an odd size.

I really want a flip top, but even after scoring a nice used one for $50, I can't quite stomach the $120 plus for the trim ring, and $50 for the seal right now.
Heck the 68 Charger trim can be had for $35.
Then I find the inside mount ring is another $100. I think I'll just use washers.

Will an A body cap work?

Can you notch the lip and bend it to fit the contour of the quarter?

Seems like every Mopar I get is missing the original gas cap. My wagon came with a locking cap when I got it and the other 5 66/67 mopars had no gas cap or a rag stuffed in them

Stant should make a cap... locking and not for everything... o' rallies auto parts..

Yep, that's the one I'm trying to avoid using.

Chrome with the black (or white) spiral shaped handle in the center.
