66' Belvedere Changing gas pedal

I’m looking to change the stock organ/floor-mounted gas pedal to a hanging gas pedal. I’m having issues using portable hand controls with the floor-mounted pedal, and I’m trying to avoid using full-time/bolt-on hand controls like the ones on my ’50 Ford.


I’m hoping to find a pedal setup that’s easy to press down. I read that ’71 B-body pedals are hanging and that they directly bolt on — is that correct?

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Directly bolt on would be a stretch. The firewalls are very different shape, and further away from the drivers seat on a 1971 and up.

It may work, need to get one and see how it matches up to the car and your needs.

Can't really answer that for you. Anything could potentially work, or be totally wrong. To many variables. How tall are you, what size foot do you have, etc.

I drove my wifes 08 Toyota and I felt like my foot was twice as tall as the foot of the engineer who designed the car. Gas pedal hit my arch not the toe.
