I looked, couldn't find it
It's part of my build thread... "Mikes 67 Mods & Restoration" which is listed in the Tech Section, under "Body & Paint".I just registered on the 66/67 Charger site, but I am having trouble finding the thread. What is it under?

Nice work
Nice stuff..
EVERYTHING WORKS AS IT'S SUPPOSED TO. JUST THAT ONE MOVES QUICKER THAN THE OTHER.Been a while but I have seen where some folks have done this. Think it was on Youtube as you say. Are your motors not working ?
I had Topher rebuild my motors and I bought the relays and limit switches from him. My headlights have worked fine for the last 3 years. Then last week my passenger headlight motor won't stop turning, so I fihured it was the adjustment screw cam loose. But that wasn't the problem. I believe my limit switch is bad and it is not shutting off the power to the motor, which is why it keeps running. I know I have called Topher (1-980-329-5938) in the past and he has told me how to test the limit switches. He also has a YOUTUBE Video to test gthe limit switches, see attachec link:
Topher is the headlight guru and can get your OEM system working. Keep it original, it will work.
Todd fixes those too. But test it by connecting directly to your battery. May be a bad relay or connection.I had both motors working fine since I bought my car in May. The other day I was doing some testing of a new headlight switch I put in and the passenger side if stuck halfway open, or halfway closed. Depending on how you look at it. I tried to ground it and give it 12 volts to each side, but nothing moved. Looks like the 58-year-old motor might be shot now. Much like its 60-year-old owner.![]()
I replaced the limit switches and the relays back in June. I did try and test it with a jumper to the battery; it wouldn't move in either direction. It's stuck in halfway open.Todd fixes those too. But test it by connecting directly to your battery. May be a bad relay or connection.
Bummer. Another addition to your list to do.I replaced the limit switches and the relays back in June. I did try and test it with a jumper to the battery; it wouldn't move in either direction. It's stuck in halfway open.
I. Don’t know your skill level. Please don't be offended. Did you go directly from the negative battery post to the single wire? Directly to try each of the the other wires separately?I replaced the limit switches and the relays back in June. I did try and test it with a jumper to the battery; it wouldn't move in either direction. It's stuck in halfway open.
Thank you. That is how I test them.I ground the middle one to the battery negative and jump the open and close to the positive battery terminal. It worked good for me when I first bought the car. I found the relays and the limit switches were bad.
My dash went on fire on St Patrick's day 2006. I used to daily drive my 70 Charger to work every day. So, one day I stopped at a Shoprite when I was living in Brooklyn. I came out to my car being on fire. To make matters worse, I had a Holley Projection system in the car back then with an electric fuel pump, it was spraying gas on the fire. I popped the hood thinking there was something I could do, but it was too late. FDNY comes and they put the fire out, but in the process smashed my mint grill, I was so pissed at them for doing that, I let them know how I felt. They knew I was pissed and did their best to calm me down. What really sucked is I was saving up to get the dash harness, I changed everything on the engine side, but the dash harness is pretty expensive, and I had two young girls at the time and money was tight.Thank you. That is how I test them.
If I have an electrical problem, I am almost lost. I have to try and follow each wire through it’s course.
Thanks to Jim Rodebaugh (God Rest his soul) for helping us through our years of having his expertise help and knowledge.
2006 we left the house at 6:00 AM to go to the TDC Meet in Jefferson Missouri. Stopped at to get gas 2 miles south of the city. After filling, drove about a 100 yards and the dash smoked, gauges died.
Told the wife, if we see steam it is a water problem, if smoke, probably oil. Sent Jim a text.
Showed up for the Meet, Jim brought everything I needed to replace our gauges. Gauges still work to this day. Changed the gauges at the meet. Brought a lot of inquisitors . Still working today.
Jim was a pioneer and helped how many 66-7 Charger owners who knows?

......... yeah it is really hard, especially since we put so much of ourselves into our cars.Sometimes things go bad. But we carry on.My dash went on fire on St Patrick's day 2006. What choice do we have?Sometimes things go bad. But we carry on.
