I want to fill the wheel well a little better on my 1967 Plymouth GTX. The 14-inch rims just don't do the trick; I have a set of new 15' X 7" Magnum 500's at my disposal and would like to use them. I have a DANA 3rd member, and a plain front disc brake conversion kit from DR, DIFF (nothing fancy), stock 11" X 2 1/2" rear brakes. He said the 15 wheels will clear, I have stock suspension, but what size tires can I comfortably use without rubbing? Has anybody did this?

A 245/60 might fit but I don't know for sure what the width of the dana is.

I like a 215/65 on the front

I bought 235 70 15 for the rear and 225 70 15 on the front of my 67 R/T. The only time I have had any rubbing is an entrance to a filling station that the entrance is a sharp uphill right. But is minimal as I have found no scuffing on the tires.

I second that a lot can depend on the Dana’s width. That and the 15x7 Magnum backspace may not necessarily be ideal for these cars.
