67 R/T on Bitchin’ Rides

Probably not. KernDog is more articulate and (somewhat :p) less annoying than KevDog.
Maybe but I didn’t see any pictures of KevDog pull his shorts up to his chin either. I’m never gonna be the same, I can’t get that image out of my brain.

Ok, so I had recorded the episode and watched it last night. Turns out the car owner is the same one who had them do the work on the new model Mr. Norms black and gold Challenger.

He IS a Mopar fan, and said this is the last car he would have built so he wanted to go over the top with it. He said that he wanted a full out custom and that too many people did Chargers, Cudas, and Challengers, so he wanted to use something different. That's why he chose the '67 R/T.

Dave was the one that suggested going with the "Die Cast" look like what was used on the "Muscle Machines" die cast cars. They showed examples of what Kindig had done with the white Mustang Fastback and the red Nova. The owner agreed and thought it would be cool to do that with a Mopar and gave Dave the green light to "Go Big"!

As I said before,... there were a lot of things I'm not into, like cutting down the bumpers, that weird air-dam front valance, and all the flowing metal work under the hood, but the amount of work that went into the metal work was pretty amazing. Those guys are artists! Not my cup of tea, but I am interested in seeing part 2 and see how it came out.

The metal work and fabricating is impressive. What is even more impressive than making a part like one of those corner pieces, is to then make another one that is a mirror image of it and have it match exactly. If any of the bends, curves, or angles were even slightly off, it would be pretty obvious!

Meh. I usually like Kindig's work, this one looks like a low rider. But to each his own.
