Hi everybody:

What size radiator would come with a 383 Coronet from the factory in 1968?

22” standard, 2bbl and 4 bbl

with A/C, trailer towing or a 3.55 rear axle then 26”

2898043--22" used on 383 2bbl & 4bbl 4spd
2898044--22" used on 383 2bbl auto.
2898047--26" used on 383 2bbl & 4bbl with a/c
2898069--26" used on 383 2bbl & 4bbl h/d
2898045--22" used on 383 4bbl auto.

Yes it's a 22. It's a Coronet 500 oringinal 318 car but it's not staying that way. I have a good 68 383 for it and I was wondering if I kept it pretty much stock with the four barrel would it cool okay. Looks gross but besides the trunk the car is in really good shape.

With the engine swap the last radiator on @turbine68rt list would probably be most correct for your car, but there are many options other than stock radiators. There are aluminum radiators that look stock and can be painted black to play the part. Everything is about your budget.

Hard to believe for how widely they were used the 045 cores are pretty scarce.

I had a Northern 2 core in a 69 Dart with a 340, it worked well I've just never had a big block before that's why I was wondering. The 340 was a bit hopped up so it would run hotter in real hot weather sitting in traffic. For starters I'll leave this 383 pretty much stock and see how things go. :)
