Radiator recommendation

[1] The hole in the stat are for race w/pumps that do not have a pressure bypass. The std pump has a bypass. Adding holes will just delay engine warm up time...& does nothing to aid cooling.
[2] The benefit of the alum rad over copper/brass is the larger tubes, 1" & larger that can be used with alum. This, in turn, allows for superior fin design & better cooling. The fins are what dissipate the heat....

Fixed it.

Having a hole in the thermostat helps burp the system.
 
The stat is not airtight. Some have a burp slot/hole, others, the air gets past through gaps. No need for an extra hole.
