Hi guys I have a 69 coronet with a 318 it has a factory 26 inch radiator in it I want to upgrade any recommendations for a specific radiator?

Bought one off eBay from Auto City Classic for my 67 charger that has been great. Went right in without messing with anything and the car hasn’t overheated once. So not sure if you’d use the same as my car but I’m happy with that company

that’s the item number to search on eBay if you want to look at it

Before purchasing a new rad. I would have the old one cleaned by professionals.
Has it always had distilled water, or just tap water. Without knowing more, it is a guessing game.
If very little knowledge is available I would have the block also flushed.
I am a firm believer in keeping things original if possible with cars that are close to stock.
Try the cheap stuff first.

No just 50/50 coolant

I’m having an overheating issue and I think it’s the radiator that’s why I was asking
Ok, so now you should elaborate as to 1) what your existing engine configuration is ( stock, mods ? ) 2) what your existing cooling system configuration is 3) under what conditions is the overheating symptom occurring.

It’s over heating during driving conditions like going down the highway at idle it’s a stick 26 inch radiator stick 318 2 barrel

As mentioned above, and maybe you have done this, rule out the simple things before investing in a new radiator. System flush, maybe new stat, would be a start. Block test include a system flush? Upper hose looks new, same with lower? Not familiar with your car, but what is the looped hose upper left in photo? Appears in the range of collapsing.
There are a bunch of threads on the site about overheating you could open as a check list.

Yea just a block test didn’t turn yellow as far as that hose being looped like that not sure what hose that’s for. I’m pretty sure I think maybe it’s for the heater core not sure but yes, the upper and lower hoses are new and the lower hose has a spring in it.

You said you’ve had good luck with these. How are they for cooling
