has anyone rebuilt the stock seat tracks? or know where a thread is about it? was cleaning mine clip fell out and came apart, looks like you might have to drill out a pressed in pin on track that acts as a stop for the roller bearing? thanks.
I have, on my 64. Don't know if those 'later' models are the same.
64 has two ball bearing cages, for each track, for each cage a main 3/4" ball in the center, two 1/8" balls at the sides. Cage holds them in place.
Carefully look over those 'studs' a each end of the track. If like mine, fits into a square hole, and staked in. If anything like that...un-stake the stud...knock it out, do your work, and the stud can be re-installed.
