68 charger 6.1 hemi swap low buck help

1. OEM PCM and body computer and all sensors and wiring and you figure out it. I don't think I've read anyone ever get that done to the point they were happy with it.
2. OEM PCM and hotwire.com flash and harness. Not really cheaper than other options but you don't have to tune it if the engine is staying stock.
3. Megasquirt gold box and harness.
4. Holley controller of your choice.

That truck trans is big and has really odd gearset in it but people have used them. I personally wouldn't from what I've seen. I'd stick to 518/47rh if going overdrive

Well, I've come to a decision. I'll just buy the 150,000 mile Hemi 6.1 without the NAG1, which has no PCM and no accelerator pedal, but has a wire harness for $2,500. It's already in Miami, so I don't have to pay shipping. I already bought an '08 Ford 4.6 from this seller, and it seems like a decent engine.

Here in Paraguay, I can get an RFE, 727, 904, 46RH transmission, etc. Or maybe in a while I'll import a manual Tremec.

Swap Specialties has a standalone kit with a PCM tuned for a manual, RFE, or 727 for $1,700, which seems like a good price.

This will be the way to go.

Any opinion is welcome.

See if he'll give you the alternator it's missing.
For the trucks there is an ac delete idler pulley but I don't know about one for the cars

that. it is missing the alternator, accelerator pedal and PCM, these items it does not have.
I'll have to order on eBay

Okay, guys... engine purchased, now I need a transmission.
3 options here.
*1: 545RFE
- Will any 545RFE fit the 6.1? Even a 4.7? What year and vehicle should I look for the 545RFE?
*2: T56 or TR6060
- Will any TR6060 from a Challenger or any other mopar vehicle and any year fit the Hemi?
I found a 2015 Challenger TR6060 for a good price.
*3: 727
- My Charger came with a 904, but I don't know if it works. The engine is half-disassembled and doesn't seem to work.
- A friend here has a 727 for $350, but it definitely needs to be rebuilt.
I ask... which transmission is more desirable for a '68 Charger? Manual or automatic? It doesn't make any difference to me, but which one would add more prominence to the charger?

To me, this does not compute, but if i were you, id discuss your options directly with John Cope at CRT trans in Indiana.

Hey guys,

The 6.1 Hemi is already in Paraguay, I'll have it in my garage next week.

Remember, I bought the 6.1 without the PCM, throttle pedal and transmission.

Now I need to decide which path to follow...
I have the 6.1 and I need to decide which transmission to use.

- I already have a 727 here in my garage but it probably needs to be rebuilt.

- I found a 545rfe from a 2005 Ram 1500 4.7 4WD here in Paraguay, but I don't know if it will fit the 6.1. And I would have to convert it to 2WD.

- I also have a 904 transmission that came with a '68 Charger.

- Well, I'll probably use a standalone kit from Swap Specialties for $1700 but I need to tell you which transmission I'm going to use.
-If I choose the 727, I could use an EFI like the Fueltech, for example, which is very popular here and has a lower price.

Any suggestions, please.

Of those choices, the 727
Thanks for the suggestion, I'm really a newbie in the Mopar world,

well, I already have a 727 so I'll keep it, that way I'll save money that would be for another transmission and be able to buy other important parts for the project

now I need to decide the EFI system to control the engine
