68 roadrunner fan shroud mounting brackets

How are the mounting brackets attached to the radiator for a 68 roadrunner fan shroud? Do the tabs on the nut bend so it can go behind the hole in the radiator side? I’m afraid to bend the tabs for fear of breaking them off. Perhaps when the new shroud arrives, (Car doesn’t currently have one) I’ll be able to see how the pieces fit together

Have you ever installed a fan shroud before? Any tips on how those nuts go on? I can see how the J hooks fit in the side of the radiator.

I have but I had to think about it before I did it. I’d have to look at one and the radiator to figure it out again. Hopefully someone else will chime in with advice.
