My questions is. I was putting the engine and 4 speed tranny in yesterday. 69 Charger All assy on the K frame. Went to put the tranny cross member in and the mount location on the tranny was 2-3 " in front of the rubber mount. But if I use auto cross member and put the bump out section on the cross member facing forwards the 2 holes line up. I got the car as a project in pieces and boxes. SO is the tail shaft mount in the wrong location? A body? The OD length is the correct 27"? A 70 Mount? Thanks

Could be the wrong year/model mount. If the auto mount works, use it!

If I remember correctly there were two different long tailstocks - with the mounts in different locations. Maybe E bodies and/or '71 and up ??

4-speed mount should almost be in the center of the 4-speed cross member, the auto on my '69 Road Runner, is right at 3 1/2" in front. So I am thinking something is off, but if it fits? Wondering if your shifter is going to change location? Maybe someone else is better qualified to help. Maybe Dan at Brewer trans.
Here are two pictures of the two cross members.
