There answers are obviously evasive and gives them a out. There selling a car advertised a numbers matching but dont really know if it is. They claim to have the fender tag so thats a plus but then they believe everything works, tells me they just wouldnt swear on it. If this car was what its suppose to be and looked as good as it should for that money it would be long sold by now. Like i said run dont walk away. Have you given any thought to auctions? I think in the end your going have to really investigate and look and if to far away hire a professional to evaluate the car. Then when all checks out well, travel there with check in hand. I was interested when it 1st appeared on CL back in Dec. The ad expired and he relisted in on CL for a 2nd time. Each time it was listed I sent emails to him that went unanswered. Once it was up on eBay I sent him the same questions and finally got a response but was very vague. When it finally sold I reached out to NS out of curiosity to see what info they had gotten or determined about the car.

Based on his vague answers as well as NS being clueless I'd never buy the car, too much room for a horror show and or money pit.
