Mushy Pedal and slow action to grab
383-4 Car originally with P Drum Brakes-
Swapped over to Pirate Jack Bendix knock off Booster with 1.125 Disc MC
also use a new 2 piece 70 Proportioning valve set up.
Rear Drums 10.5 x 2 all new.
Pedal is real mushy and long travel without booster response. Car pulls about 15 psi Vacuum
Adjustable prop valve in rear line....adjustment makes no difference.
Dot 4 Synthetic Fluid all new and bled.
master Cylinder Bled.
I adjusted Booster push rod out its max and brake feel improved.

I built the car originally about 2010.
Use a Booster Dewey rebuilt Bendix Booster with a mild 440 and never had decent brakes either.
So I swapped over to the new stuff.
Single piston Calipers have not been changed since 2010 but no leaks.

Ideas to get these things grabbing?
I had the same set up on a 68 Charger and the action was awesome?

Do I adjust rear brakes righter?
Get different calipers?

Thanks

Petal feel/height comes from the rear brakes. Soft/mushy Petal is air in the system.

I adjusted out the rears and the pedal height is better.
Took a test drive and fronts grab ok but lower than I like.

Was good to get a few miles under its belt and finally off the lift.
I have a set of calipers coming today as well
