Yes I did, just didn't decode the fender tag.

I was planning to post about that, got sidetracked.... Yes there was a mention of SE by the O/P but without the A47 code that gonna be tough to support.... Lots of stuff wasn't always coded on the fender tag.... A47 isn't one of those codes.... You own an R/T SE go check your tag & get back to us...

I'm not suggesting your tags aren't fine... But I am suggesting your tag will have the A47 code...... Yes lots of options are documented on the broadcast sheet that don't get coded on the fender tag..... But A47 should be on the fender tag...

Without seeing anything good except for numbers a man would have to be a glutton for punishment to take of that project. It would be maybe a bit different if the car was all there. Post some more pictures of it.
I made a simple opinion and some want to disagree on my opinion. I stand by my opinion. This is not a project for the faint of heart. Why argue it. The poster has not givin any other photos of what it looks like to sway anyone's opinion. Just a tag fishing experiment to me.

Your not wrong, but I've rebuilt junk before & if I were younger & still motivated I'd give that a new life... Realistically financially I'd be upside down even doing allot of the work myself but then some of us rescue abandoned dogs too...

I am not being negative I am being realistic. Again my opinion which you chose to dis-agree on. I did not dis-agree on your opinion. Remember that. I applaud and support you for having the Kahuna's for such a project. Posting the pictures of the whole car would definitely show the crowd what you are attempting to restructure. Props up here.

You are going to love it, the hard work will pay off. My first R/T SE was (and sometimes still is) like being pregnant for 4yrs. The next one is already coming apart, has sheet metal issues and this time, I'm doing it. And like being pregnant, you finally "give birth" to a beautiful baby. People have told me at car shows that they were glad they made the trip and saw my car because they usually see, Camaro, Camaro, Camaro, Mustang, Mustang, Corvette, Corvette, Camaro etc. Post #48 is right, not for the faint of heart but you aren't daunted.

G I D! Get it done! Best of luck and don’t give up! Maybe you’ll stumble across the driveline and be able to get it all back together. It’s the hunt and the satisfaction of a job well done that is the prize.. the satisfaction also comes with the Charger looking like new after being left for dead. If you need parts for frame and stuff my friend from Catawissa Mo.,has a lot of Mopars in his salvage yard for parts. He doesn’t scrap them he makes sure nothing gets wasted. Pm and I’ll send you his info.

I "restored" a 69 Roadrunner about 15 years ago. I had someone do the minimal bodywork, the paint, and the engine. While I did pretty much everything else, I wanted to go back and do some of the more challenging work so I could learn. I recently sought out and bought a 68 Coronet 500 that needed quite a bit of body work just because it needed work and I needed to learn. I passed up better looking cars so I could have a real project. My point is, we all have different motivations to work on projects. And for me, knowing that this group of knowledgeable folks is here to give me guidance and advice is reassuring.

A few decades ago, a guy from my former Army platoon Pro Streeted an original 39 Willys Coupe. He removed the car from a swamp in N WI. There was nothing left below about the bottom half of the car. He said he was doing this because he wanted an original car, they are extremely rare, and he figured he could do it. I've done several restorations, but would have never attempted it. The finished car was beautiful, one of the best Willys Coupes I've seen. Each to his own.

Ed at Wildcat auto wrecking helped me out with the cause by selling me this 69 Coronet with a rust free floor pan and subrails for what I consider almost charity. It is even b5 also!. Since it can serve as a platform to built a fixture on my chassis jig and is original steel, this project will be moving forward in the near future. I have enough of the original car and original metal from donors that the quarters, trunk pan and Dutchman panel may be the only reproduction parts. That should quiet those who are quick to label it a rebody. This is my first b-body but far from my first build of this scale. I will go into more detail when I start this adventure and create a build thread.

I enjoy seeing people who bring Chargers back from the dead. A blue 69 Charger R/T is definitely worth restoration in almost any condition. I have a 70 that needs everything except framerails,cowl and rocker panels.

Sure wish we still had old cars in the junkyards around here. All the old stuff was crushed 15-20 years ago.
