69 Coronet 500

Looks good! I have a '69 Coronet "440" that looks similar. Are you keeping the side trim and big wheel well trim?

Update time! Car is still at the shop, slowly getting all the rot removed. When it comes home, it’ll be black epoxied with new vinyl top. It will stay that way for awhile, I’m going to put it together and drive it.

Not too too bad, rockers are good, going to section the outer wheelhouses instead of completely replacing them. Frame rails had one small patch on each rail right where they arch over the axle. Same spot on both sides.
A small patch was need along the bottom of each inner wheelhouse as well as each side needed a patch under the trunk support bracket.

Unfortunately I ended up needing a new tail light panel and rear crossmember. That panel is hard to find and expensive!!

Here’s a couple of pics of the tail light panel, he said it would be cheaper to buy a new one than to fix the original.

Moving forward, I decided to strip the door jambs and inner/outer fenders, so all rust is gone and the car is all one (epoxy) colour…I’ve completely blown through my budget!!! Ugh bug at least it’ll be done.

A lot of nice work going on there! Looks like your car has the same issues as mine. I can’t wait to see this done.

So, after an 8 month wait, I finally got my gauges and switch panels back from Mr Heaterbox!!!! They turned awesome but the lack of communication was frustrating!

Dash went together pretty well. Just need to put the harness on. I’ll have to wait for my Retrosound stereo though.

It’s waaaaaaay past time for an update! The car is finished metalwork and about to be put in black epoxy. Been at the shop for a year almost to the day!
