Does anyone know how to identify a 400 crank I want to stroke a 383

A 400 crank won't give you much stroke, they're the same as a 383.

Got a part number off the crank?

Where do I look for a number on the crank I'm trying to buy a motor from a guy he said he doesnt see a part numbert

Cut a 440 crank down or buy an aftermarket crank.
Should be a number on the counterweight. If the counterweight has rounded edges then it is a forged crank.
