Got the routing for the AC hoses figured out.

I had to make the slot a little bigger incase I needed to replace a hose and pull the fitting through.

I had to clearance the air cleaner base for one of the AC fittings. Glad I bought the fiberglass version. It made this mod easy. I clearance the spot for the fitting, put some foam over the fitting. Then used some suran wrap taped to the bottom to keep any resin drips from happening. I also forgot to mention I removed the rubber gaskets off the carbs. So when it goes back on I should have .25-375 of clearance on the fitting bulge.

I put a coat of resin on the bottom after the top had set up. I'll wait till tomorrow, than I'll sand & primer it. Think I'll wait a bit to paint incase I need to do something else. Oh I do need to put the drain holes in the back so that'll need to be done.

I had to shorten the PCV valve as it hit the baffle and wouldn't seat in the grommet.

The baffle was 1.25 deep.

Put a hole in the fire wall for the mechanical gauges, oil pressure, coolant temp, & trans temp.
Also mounted the Rev-a-nator ECU. I used a friends 70 RR for a reference on placement.

Wow! you were busy over the weekend. Good job and good reference pictures. Thank you.

Something a friend here at work suggested was running the engine harness under the intake instead of above the valve cover. I never thought of that. I will be rerouting that tonight. Think I'll add some extra plastic conduit for protection in that span.

Something I did with the harness was source some orange cable wrap, then just sorta rub it down with somewhat dirty hands till it kinda blended in with the darker shade of hemi orange.

Another good weekend in the garage! Might as well it rained ALL weekend.
And of course the dog had to help!

Started the tranny lines. Decided to go with the braided style. I need one more fitting to finish it then I'll post a picture of the final routing. I'd forgot what a pain it was dealing with these. I did come up with a new way to cut them to make it easier to start the nut on the line. I used a hose clamp instead of tape to hole the wire from fraying when cutting. Worked like a champ!

Got the AC box back in and hooked up. Routed the hoses and cut to length. I did use the OEM spring clamps at the heater box & heat control valve, but opted for worm gear clamps at the water pump for ease of service. Looks fairly neat. Routed the engine harness under the intake to the front of the engine to un clutter the valve cover. I had to shorten the coil wire and splice int the ECU harness. I used the vinyl tape and then electrical tape at the ends to mimic the OEM harnesses. Rerouted the plug wire to neaten them up. Still need to drill the holes for the AC drier but waiting till final fit up for that. still need to pull the pass. side valve cover to confirm it will come off.

Got the pS hose flipped around so they are correct.

Got the light harness run & straighten up the firewall wiring.

I ran the heater control cable through the firewall with the below dash gage set. It was a pretty tight bend going through in the original spot with the AC box. I didn't want to have to tear it all back out because of a kink after the dash was in.

Did my first window work. I laid in the felt for the window tracks. There is a correct way to install them. One side has a relief on it near the bottom. I'll rivet them in after they've had a chance to relax.

Good day Hoser! You're making fine progress on that beautiful GTX! Checking your pictures is like dejavu. Got me to looking into some pics of jobs gone by here and I've included them, check them out,

Dropping the Eddy Haines built 426 into the 68 J code GTX that I did about 10 years ago. A shame the original hemi got lost earlier in life. An original 426,2X4BBL, Dana, Stick GTX.

The 69 Superbee that I did for a friend. A life long car in his family which went through the brothers first, it was a HUGE job.. Sentimental value car. This picture is the way it showed up.

I grabbed a picture of it one day when it was up on a trailer. Checking out your pictures are very relatable. Your almost there buddy!

Hi, you wouldn't happen to have an extra air cleaner base for a N96 optioned 69 GTX would ya, it looks like it's gonna come out great by the way, thank you

Rocky, sorry I already gave it to the neighbor for his RR project.
Thanks Malex, I always enjoy looking at your work! I did feel like I really got something accomplished over the weekend. Hopefully the fenders will be going back on soon so it'll start looking like a car again.
