69 road runner door contour question.

Here’s a couple of pictures of the drivers side door. They have the original door skins

I just body work on my doors, both had some minor dents and creases but nothing too bad. Both were concave towards the front about an 1/8" or so , same as beebest`s. I can get pics later today.

Yep the doors are not perfectly flat/straight. From what I have seen the dip inward and then flare outward at the back of the door is normal. I just watched some footage from MCACN this year and I could tell that all of the 68-70 B body mopars had that flare going on. You could see it in the reflections off of the door while the cars were driving in for setup. My 70 super bee is the same way. Also most coke body styled cars have it too. I had a 66 Pontiac Starchief that had that, my 68 Buick GS also has it.

@dadsbee : Did you feel as bad as I did when an F250 4X4 driver thought he could drive through my car? I'd appreciate it if somebody who knows what they're doing on these machines from hell would straighten out my pictures...

Man, that’s sickening. Hope you can find a good body man.
That happened almost 2 years ago. Found a local shop. The owner was getting close to selling out and retiring. He warned me about taking a long time because he would work on it between his insurance collision jobs. He said it would be way cheaper to find a replacement door, which I did; in Indiana, after calling everyone on all my Mopar cars/parts lists with no luck. One year, convertible. I saw on this forum a guy who was selling a a 1963 3 speed transmission. I contacted him and asked about a door. Several days later he got back to me and sent pictures. My body shop worked a deal with him and he palletized it and shipped it. The car was in the shop for 7 months and cost AAA a boatload of money, as they were the truck driver's insurer. Btw, most of the shops I talked to wouldn't even look at it! Also, my rollbar upright stopped the door and quarter from ending up farther inboard.
As a side note, I put the rollbar in strictly so I could add 3 point seatbelts. I never got used to going back to just a lap belt. I do believe that when I got T-boned, and my car pretty much stopped instantly, my belt saved my crowns from eating the steering wheel...
