69 Roadrunner

I bought a 69 Roadrunner from my neighbor who is the original owner. I was told by people that it is a survivor not completely sure what that is but I'm trying to fix it to original since it has original paint and all matching numbers. The original owner took great care of the car, he changed the oil every 1000 miles but it hasn't been driven since 1991 so there is a lot of things to go through. Some parts I'm looking for are a dual snorkel air cleaner, water pump and original rims any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cool car and a great find. Your car would have came with the unsilenced air cleaner, not the dual snorkel.

A survivor is a car that is untouched from factory condition, once you start restoring it it's not a survivor anymore (according to hagerty)

can you take a pic of the fender tag, did it come with a build sheet, check under the rear seat or behind the glove box. The original air filter was not a snorkel as said. That must have been a far trailer ride.

Thanks everyone. I have the window sticker I will look for the build sheet. The only reason I said a dual snorkel is because the original owner told me that it had one and he modified it to what it is now. I will check with him to confirm.

I say keep everything original as long as you can, just clean it up good and get it running smooth. like poly said it's only that way once, but it's your car. what are your plans for it, showcar racer, cruiser, restomod?

I just spoke with Wayne the original owner and he confirmed that it did come with a dual snorkel from the dealer it probably has something to do with California's clean air regulations.

I think I would like to keep it as original as possible and if that means I shouldn't paint the engine I will just clean it and leave it.
