70 Charger R/T SE Daytona sunroof project is starting soon.

ROTFLMFAO!! I know Pete!!
Sunroof looking great!! Keep us posted!!

I am pleased with how it came out. I am going to do the firewall next,to convert an Air Conditioned car to a non ac car.

Yesterday I moved all the parts for the car over with the car. I am done driving the 71 Challenger convertible for the season, and have to make room to put my wife's Challenger away for the winter.

Brewers sent me my back ordered made in the USA throw out bearing today. This was the last piece of the puzzle for being able to assemble the engine and transmission so I can install the driveline in the car.

I have dealt with them several times and they have been excellent to deal with. This was a $1500 order, and they had all but this one part in stock, and delivered it very quickly. I would recommend them to anyone needing Mopar transmission parts.

They had a China made throw out bearing in stock, but they were out of the USA made ones. I only want to put the transmission in once,so I opted to wait for the USA made bearing.

I saw that, and it was going to be my go to if Brewers couldn't get the USA made one. I should probably grab a couple of them from Bill and put them on the shelf for future use.

Today it was 50 degrees out so I got outside and got some car stuff done. I put my 73 Charger in my trailer for the winter. Although the roof of the trailer isn't finished yet, I have it to where it's weather tight enough to put the car in there out of the weather. It's a California car that deserves better storage and being outside the New England weather was starting to take a toll on the car.

Then I went into the garage and dug out the 18 spline Hemi 4 speed transmission that I had rebuilt by a friend of mine last year. I had planned to use it for this build. I had a new Liberty gear set,new bearings and syncros put in it.

I haven't updated this thread since last year, it's getting near time to get back to work on the car. My wife has had me building her an exercise room in the basement, and I bought a 2010 Challenger R/T classic 6 speed with 18k miles on it. I got bought some parts for the sunroof Daytona project from a fellow Fbbo member. I got a new M&H 70 rallye dash wiring harness and a tic tock tach. As soon as I finish up in the basement I hope to get back to work on the car!

Hey Pete
Where did you get the tic toc tach?

Funny, I was just today thumbing through an old magazine with an in depth article on the 1970 Daytona with several pictures. It was in the Sept. 2002 issue of Mopar Collector's Guide.
