70 Hemi Superbird Restoration..................errr.....scratch that........

Nothing like having a milling machine handy, one of the best tools you can have for sure.

I'd hate to see the receipts for this build!!! Those are some top notch looking pieces you've got.

I see them... but I never add them up!
The cost is what it is. It’s spread over several years so hasn’t been too bad.
The mill is handy for sure as is my lathe... I’m a tool junkie for sure.

The final piece of the puzzle came in for the dry sump project. Now I need to get the CNC boys on it!

I picked up a JP Timing set and the ATI damper. I also ordered the AR Engineering 36-1wheel and trigger setup with the Holley sensor from FastmanEFI.com. Andy makes some awesome parts and Rich Nedball is a hemi/efi guru.

So Friday, I stopped in the dyno shop to see the final pull on the NSS engine for the car I caged. It went north of 800 and sounded great. We had to use my dyno headers as his early B body headers didn’t fit the dyno chassis. I took a few minutes to measure the dyno chassis so I could make turbo supports and mounts for my drysump tank, water tanks and fuel pump.

While I wait on engine parts, I really need to be working on the car but as you may recall, my buddy wrecked his car in September. It looks as though I’ll be doing the new chassis. I’m sure this will sidetrack my Dragweek goals lol.

Or your going to be working longer nights........

I hear ya, used to be I could go all week on 3 hrs a night. I don't mind the late nights, it's that damn alarm clock I have a problem with!

So I went and bought this last night...
It’s much better than my fabricated pan but not nearly as cheap, lol.

So in order to avoid all of the work of rebuilding a cluster, I opted for this...

I found it for sale locally and the guy even delivered it. Now to figure out how to integrate it into the dash where the two large gauges would be.

Looks nice.
I’m not in love with the looks of it but it’s ok. I want to somehow incorporate it into the stock dash in a manner that doesn’t look incredibly wrong. I’ll figure something out.

So it like a little progress has been made on my dry sump. You can see the open end of the pump here waiting for its end plate.

Here’s the CAD file for the piece. And the photos throughout the machining process.
