Did a little bit on my car rear panels needed sound deadening, but the paint on the metal panels didn't turn out well,so I have to resand them and paint again.

Went to a local cruise and show and my transmission is not working right the only thing I have done is to put in a deep pan and sump. I don't think that is the problem, because I just picked a used transmission we had , did a quick look at it and stuffed it in. So probably just tired. Iam going to rebuild another one and then pull it out and go over it for my next build. I've helped my dad over the years but never rebuilt one on my own. I have a motors transmission book of his and was going to read it and watch some instructional videos. My car has 440-6 and 29x18 tires and 3:70 ratio 9" rear.3800 stall converter is basically new maybe 1000 miles. Tips are welcome on build. Engine is probably 450 hp to 500 max and I mostly like it for cruising but would like to take it down the 1/4 just to see what it does.

There's some good threads on here for rebuilding a 727 and this is the book you need to use.

I don't know much, at all about automatic transmission service and repair, but...
only thing I have done is to put in a deep pan and sump.
Does that modification require a deeper "pickup" or whatever to accommodate the deep pan and sump?
