70 rr horn

Hi All,Q-My horn works but not when the ignition is on.Does the horn curcuit have any thing to do with the ignition.Thanks for your help.

Nope. The horn should work without the key turned on (& when the key IS on), so it sounds like something is funky with your wiring. The horn circuit should have 12V at all times. If your horn works, but not when the engine is running, then maybe some wires are crossed inside the steering column?

Hi Thanks,The only thing in the steering column i have touched is the signial switch.

Well, that has about 1/2 the steering column wires going to it, so I think you might have crossed some wires working on it.
