72 road runner pass side mirror location

hello, and happy labor day,
I want to put a side view mirror on my 72 roadrunner, need a template or some measurements on the exact location since it didnt have a mirror from the factory, tnx in advance for any help

Measure the driver's side.

Lol. I thought of that..am not sure the drivers side is exactly correct either. But illtake it off and guess ill get close

It's not a factory driver's side mirror?

I measured from the side molding, the window channel, the door edge and the door handle (which set differetly side to side), penciled it in, and then measured again.

A few folks have commented (after I tell them I installed it myself), that one screw looks higher.

I tell them "go look at the driver's side", and they all go "huh, I guess you did do it right".

Like I couldn't possibly have gotten it right, since I did it myself ???????

Exactly. I looked at drivers side. Thought there was a small tilt. I got o e hole on passenger side that seems right.so I put a small line level on the inside mount bracket placed on outside. Level seems wrong. So that's why I was looking for a template..I can get it close.just trying to b the best I. An b. Lol

As long as they look the same on both sides, I'm happy.

I'd certainly not like one that was level and one that wasn't, no matter which was correct.
