hey guys, im the guy who was asking the correct torque converter question earlier. i was going to go the manual route till my wife said she would like a automatic. i didnt even have a auto transmission till today. the reason for my post today is to brag on a family i came to know recently. i called a guy about a 440 engine he had for sale for 600 dollars he had lots of mopar stuff to sale a couple of months ago because his father passed from cancer... well he called me back a day later to tell me he would take 50 dollars for it. me and my son went and got it and we talked a long time about cars and how my father also passed from cancer when i was just 7 yrs. old. well two months later and out of the blue he text me and said he and his mother had a rebuilt 727 trans with shift kit for free if i would come and get it. he didnt even know i wanted one. they also gave me tons of other things because they finally sold their home and moving back to michigan... i just had to brag on such a gracious and kind family i came to know through love of mopars.

I've always been weary of meeting people on their "turff" or have them come to mine but it is meeting most of these people that has restored my faith in humanity...Have met a lot of good people .... I find it odd though that some old rusty junk can bring people together unlike anything else on the planet. Great story!

That's a really cool story. Reading it makes you realize there are indeed still good people out there - not everything is as we read in the paper or see on the news.
