Hello mopar family
About to do an upgrade to my 73 charger (factory A/C) sb 318 car.

I’m replacing all under the hood components with OLD AIR PRODUCTS and I’m confident the original evap inside the heater box is in good condition.

Old air tech advises this will work, just looking for some opinions or real life exp with this route I’m about to take….

Good Luck! Finished installing my a/c this past summer, all new components and blowing 40 degree air into the cabin for the 1st time in the 10 years I've owned it.

Old Air makes solid stuff, I did a similar setup on my '74 Duster and it's been working great for 3 years now - just make sure you get a good vacuum pulled before you charge it.

Stock oem evaporator?

I am curious, just looked at their site. Are you replacing your V-twin air compressor? They show no brackets for a SB and Sanden air compressor, only BB.

The company that made the brackets for them went out of business but vintage air and summit sells the bracket for that compressor

Did you leave heater box and evaporator stock?
