Mopar absolutely had "police motors"
http://www.allpar.com/squads/diplomat.html

Duane Hughes pointed out: "The 360 police engine was identical in output to a*standard*360, but toughened for continuous high speed use with adouble roller timing chain, forged crank,*and windage tray. These engines were also standard in the Volare Super Coupe."

Is the E58 option the same 360 engine as the A74 in 1979 300, and A75 in Magnum GT, and lil' Red express? L coded 195 HP four barrel engine?

That article references police engines 6+ years after this car was built. The engine in question is the '74 B body version.

I don't seem to have any '74 police cars with the E58 engine. I do have police cars with the E56 so either the '74 E58 was optional on 'police cars' or the E58 was not exclusive to police cars.
