I’m stuck on the rear disc brake setup in my 67 Charger. The prior owner put it in wrong. I figured out what he did wrong but unsure of this flange. The instructions say an axle spacer plates goes first before the other brackets for the setup. Do you guys think I will have any problems with how this is setup? I can bolt the primary bracket the way it is now, but should there be more to hold the axle in?

First reaction is ... wow that's a thick plate.
I would pop the caliper mount on and then the caliper to check centerline. The spacer may be needed to push the mount/caliper out to ensure its centered on the disk.

I used the "Right Stuff" kit and the spacer is 1/8" thick. It's been fine for 9 years. I'd do what Doorkicker suggested.

But there is no way for the axle to pop out like this right? That's really what Im worried about.

As soon as Erin passes by I can put it all together and see what happens.

I was just thinking, Does the backing plate for drum brakes sit the same way as that spacer? If so, I should be good to go.

Pull the flange away, and you should see the big circlip that locks the bearing in place.
I know , not really impressive.
