A/C Compressor Wire?

Whats The Wire Going To The Compressor Used For?
Mines Disconnected, Does It Need To Be Plugged In..

Compressor clutch activation. You do need it plugged in for the compressor to turn on and I believe it should go to the binary pressure switch before going to power.
