A helpful guide to quarter window installation. 66/67 Chargers

Need a little help here working on a 67 Dodge charger power windows. All but the right rear window works fine But when it goes down just before the stop the window acts like it goes over center. Now when l close l have to kinda pull up on the window kinda up and forward then the window will go up on its own. would the rear track be upside down or is there something else going on. The drivers side works just fine and after reading this posting l think this could be the problem. Did discover that the springs were upside down

If anyone needs to reattach the chrome piece that holds the quarter window seal (Soffseal CH1023), there are stainless steel rivets out there that will work. I found mine on Amazon but had to buy a bulk package so I have extra if anyone needs.

I wish I had found this when I started working on my quarter window. It took many steps to arrive at the clamp pictured. 1st step after failure was to weld up the swivel on the clamp, 2nd was the positioning washer on the other end ( fits over the back of the stud in the arm and really helped with lining up the clamp) 3rd was to shorten the screw on the clamp so it would fit between the mechanism and the body. After many tries and fails and bruises and cuts, I super glued the washers on the welded swivel and got the clip on in 1 minute.

There are few typos in the pictures.
Hope this is of assistance to the next poor soul that attempts this.
I'll answer questions if needed and I can.
In the first picture when I said "....put the window in first......"
I meant that the glass is in the hole but not really attached to anything.
This stuff has to move around to get it hooked up.
And test fit the rollers in the slots first.
Some were binding. You might need to dress down the metal with sand paper.

Has anyone tried setting the glass with the tape for the 1/4 windows? I tried using kerosene, but I cannot get the glass in the track. I even tried thinner tape, instead of 1/16 tape I tied 3/32, and that's too thin.

Classic Industries has the correct stuff. Is that what you are using? Glass setting tape. https://www.classicindustries.com/product/1967/dodge/charger/parts/gt0116.html

I used this and a very little amount of 3M Black Weather Adhesive to hole in place. Need to test fit a couple of times before using the adhesive.

I used an El-Cheapo wood clamp and a little wooden spacer block.. super simple.
