I saw one about 7 years ago that actually sold on Ebay. It was a clone or tribute, but I couldn't see any flaws in it and it sold for $28K? (I remember it was painfully underpriced)
Looked like yours, color etc.

The white one was a sharp car when you were done. I was impressed by how well the caved in rocker panel pulled out. That was 30 years ago!

Yeah, that was a real nice car. Like many of the cars I've had, I wish I still had that car today. In my younger years, I couldn't afford to keep them all.

Nah, mine was real. NOM stroked 498 monster. Aloha Automotive did the body and paint, none finer....

All good. I only mentioned the Ebay car because it looked like yours.
I'm a little jealous of whoever got that A12 tribute car, but my 70 V-code Roadrunner is my baby, and it only builds on the magnificent legacy the A12 cars started. IMO, if you haven't experienced a finely tuned 440 6bbl, it's hard to understand. Whether you gradually run up the RPMs until the outboard carbs open (especially with a cam that moves the power band higher), or you romp on it and have the outboards dialed in so they open just right, it's one heck of an experience!

The Superbee is a very nice car. Real m code a12. Female owned since ‘77. Purchased it from her last year. Has 34k original miles on it. Had keystone classics on it and polyglas (which I still have). Power steering and power brake car. F6 bright green metallic. Fender tag and build sheet. Bench seat, automatic. No rust original car with one re paint in 1990. Original trans, motor is a correct ‘69 440 six pack block but not numbers. Original engine components and Dana.
The Roadrunner is the driver. Nothing more, nothing less. Real M code A12. X9 black velvet. Original block and trans were gone. Has a warranty block in it. Original A12 carbs an manifold. Original Bench seat, someone changed for buckets. No option 4 speed, Dana, Old body restoration done back in the 80s. Runs and drives great.

Yes, I listed a few photos of it on there with the Keystones. I do enjoy them on the car but you just can’t beat the factory appearance of them

To all of the "440 6bbl Pioneers" I've said it before and I'll say it again...
The target for hot street/strip performance, I'm talking about "top tier" performance AND at a reasonable price point, that bullseye has never been hit as squarely as Mopar did with the A12! Pontiac tried with "The Judge" but they became so heavily optioned and didn't have a 4.10 ring and pinion gear as the ONLY available ratio, that they fell short of both price point and baseline performance. If the Judge meant a 4.11 posi and a Ram Air 4 standard with the Judge option, well at least they would have hit the performance mark. The AMC S/C Rambler just about hit the mark as the 390 V8 was standard equipment, and they claimed a 14.3 quarter mile for a car that sold just under $3k new. The dealer installed Group 19 go-fast parts included a special carburetor, intake manifold, camshaft, and rocker arms; headers; a dual-point ignition; a 4.10 rear axle; and wider rear wheels. Those well tuned were close to a 13 flat car! I would imagine the STOCK A12 properly tuned (with headers) must be low 13 second cars....
Both the Super Bee and Roadrunner A12 cars have those GORGEOUS Coke bottle "hips and ***" yet retain the "old school" rectangular grill and front view. That's what I love so much about the 70 Roadrunner. They have a little more "modern" look front and rear view, the Air Grabber pop up scoop, but still the Coke bottle shape and rectangular front and rear view.
MOST OF ALL, the A12 was the dawn of the mighty 440 6bbl, a combination so powerful that having had a stock HP 440 4bbl vs the 440 6bbl, man I'll tell ya it seems like a completely different engine!
