A833 reverse arm O-ring difficulty?

The reverse arm O-ring is leaking. I did not mess with this when I installed the trans, it looked like you would have to pull gears out, and of course it's leaking now.
What Is involved in swapping this Oring ?

That would be correct and if a minimal leak I would sweat it.

It's about a quarter size drip every day. Maybe I'll just keep an eye on the level and mess with it this winter

That is a drip that should be fixed....

You"ll have to tear the transmission down to replace that o-ring. Not terribly difficult, just time consuming.
