ABS vs Steel Core Dash Replacement

I need to replace the dash pad on my 71 GTX. There are companies that make replacements in steel or abs plastic. I was hoping to find out the pro's and con's to using either or as the ABS plastic core option is more budget friendly?

ABS ones are junk and a waste of time and money.

Yep, what Mark said. I bought one not knowing it was a plastic core, and it went back immediately. The thing was so flexible I thought it would snap in half just picking it up on one end. Original steel core is what I have now and its great. I don't know if the company I bought from is still around however.
