Air bag jack

forgive my ignorance, but what situations require lifting the car off of a hydraulic 4-post Jack? The car is already in the air - I'm confused.

Changing tires, front brakes. The list goes on !!!

if I'm changing tires or front brakes, my car is on the ground on jack stands. If you've got a 4-post lift, I guess it sounds a bit easier - never thought of that.

Mine lifted my '69 RR rear end just fine with 40 psi !! 130-150 ... I hope not ... my 60 gal 5 hp only goes to 120 !!!

I’m just stating my experience. The smaller 120psi compressor lifted it but not fully. The 150psi compressor extended it fully.
