Changing tires, front brakes. The list goes on !!!forgive my ignorance, but what situations require lifting the car off of a hydraulic 4-post Jack? The car is already in the air - I'm confused.

if I'm changing tires or front brakes, my car is on the ground on jack stands. If you've got a 4-post lift, I guess it sounds a bit easier - never thought of that.Changing tires, front brakes. The list goes on !!!
I’m just stating my experience. The smaller 120psi compressor lifted it but not fully. The 150psi compressor extended it fully.Mine lifted my '69 RR rear end just fine with 40 psi !! 130-150 ... I hope not ... my 60 gal 5 hp only goes to 120 !!!
