So...it looks like I'll be good to go getting a unit without the spacer. That should put the base about a half inch above the KD stuff. I see that Allstar has 16" elements, but didn't see a 16" assembly.

Yep. Without the 1/2” spacer, that makes sense.
My base will hit the Holley float bowl adjusters without the spacer. The Allstar base is shaped differently than mine and probably won’t be a problem.

That does not look like the factory throttle linkage location, which doesnt matter with a manual transmission, but will not work with the factory KD linkage.
I think you need one of these to put the linkage in the correct location, which will change the location and clearance.

Yea, it isn’t, the car didn’t come with much of the original setup. I was going to source it all but the transmission had a manual valve body so I just made my own bracket.
It looks like the factory setup would still fit under there, but the base you have would really be the ticket.
