A friend said I'm kinda taking away from the appeal by doing more drag oriented mods to it and that it's not that kind of a car. Obviously I'm happy with it and that's all that matters, but I'm curious to hear your opinions. I'm not making it a race car but a true street/strip car. I guess biggest difference is the new wheels and I'm thinking about doing a nice OEM style rear seat delete. So what do you guys think?

Screw what anyone else says
1. It is YOUR car, do as you please
2. I personally "LOVE" the look
3. Car collectors are finding these cars from yester-year and leaving them as "Day 2" cars
(Aftermarket wheels, headers, double pumpers, etc)
So, do as you please!
In my humble opinion....

Also, many will only "LOOK AT" a 68, 69 or 70 Dodge Charger....
I personally LOVE the 71, 72, 73 Body style
Again, do as you wish, not what someone else thinks you should do......

Exactly what I'm going for, still want to go to shows and take home trophies but also want to let it rip at track
I like it my car is street and strip so I say have fun and race it

The only guy you need to please is your self! Everyone has different tastes. For instance I HATE anything but 15" wheels, but I'm not going to tell anyone that has them that. They may feel the same way about my 15s. If you don't like it don't look at it. :soapbox: Ok I'm done.

BTW I like it!!!!!!

Sounds like you have a jealous friend, keep doing what you're doing and build YOUR car the way YOU want and enjoy it

If you don't enjoy it, what's the point? It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, it's your car to do with what you want.
I think it looks great

Wow thanks for all the positive comments !!!! What do you guys think of a nice rear seat delete ?

Nice car, hay there's enough number matching, date coded radiator hosed cars out there to choke a horse. Its not like your altering a 1 of 10 made models. life's to short. if anyone tells you that "that's not the correct shifter, or rims for your car how dare you" I suggest ripping the shifter out and proceed to beat said person until there on the floor looking up at you and say while your down there what do you think about my rims?. I bet said person will say they love them ;-)

Car looks sweet...before and after! All I would say about the rear seat delete is, if you don't need it for passenger duty, go for it. Any weight you save will equate to extra go-fast (But keep it around just in case!) As time goes on you may decide that you want to put it back in

I caught a lot of flack for what I'm "doing to my car" but those same people don't have a car to build so I pay them no mind, my car, my money, I'll build it how I want it not how anyone else wants it. If you're not using the back seat get it outta there, it'll shave a bit of weight
