Am I ruining my car?

How it was when I first got it

Hit the nail on the head
I caught a lot of flack for what I'm "doing to my car" but those same people don't have a car to build so I pay them no mind, my car, my money, I'll build it how I want it not how anyone else wants it. If you're not using the back seat get it outta there, it'll shave a bit of weight

Rear seat delete?
Back in the day they had purpose!!
You're apparently a young'un, I'd re think this. Hehe
Do what you want, it's your car!! Enjoy
But if I was your age I'd be looking for a 69 Imperial - now there's some back seat acreage. :D

I'm with wacko on this one.......the best memories of my GTX involve the back seat..... love the wheels, keep the seat

Do what you want with your car an never mind what anyone else says!!! I have built and modified many cars over the years they were mine. Now I like keeping mine original my taste has changed as I got older but I never care who thinks what of my projects. drive it race it and enjoy it.

Your car bud.....do what ever ya want with it! If the haters don't like it, tell them that if they don't like what YOU are doing with YOUR car, open their wallet to buy it or shut their pie hole!!!

Was that my indoor voice??

Car looks good....I would drive the livin' **** outta it if it was mine!!!

My personal opinion... well, i kinda like things original. But then, i'm a bit of a stick-in-the-mud. No matter what... your car, your way. i kinda prefer the original rims and steering wheel, but there's always room for personal expression. Car looks good either way! Only one word of advice... KEEP ALL THE ORIGINAL BITS. Not necessary, i suppose, but not a bad idea... so hard to find original versions of these cars nowadays, just in case you find something else someday

O boy you would cry, I actually just threw out a bunch of the oem parts... I would keep the seats for sure though . Also I kept the steering wheel.

I'm not sure about going with rear seat delete. I wouldn't in my own situation but it's still is a matter of personal preference. But your car looked good before, now it looks top notch in my opinion. Very tasteful upgrades.

why would you even care what someone else thinks,
unless they are cutting the checks for the work done on your car?

Your car looks good to me. I have walked away from buying a car that was heavily modified for drag racing, but that was because it was modified to the point of not being able to be driven normally. Do whatever mods you want, if you are worried about selling it later keep the stock parts handy for the next guy.

I honestly think too many muscle car guys get worked up about things being original. This is due to collectors jacking up the price on some of them. There is a long tradition of people modifying cars to their own taste, lowriders, hotrods, Kustoms. None of these would exist if everyone obsessed over things being original.

I like those old wheel s wanna sell them and f the rest if your happy . I do the same stuff to my car I don't care what anyone but me thinks

Thanks, and yes I'm gonna wind up selling them

I loved it before and still think it looks badass but agree with everyone about the rear seat. I'd hate to be limited on how passengers I could haul or limit my space toooo...... but if you'll never use it ditch it (they weigh little). I'm a firm believer in building every car exactly the way you want.
